Waterville Valley is a world-renowned winter sports destination, offering 265 acres of alpine skiing terrain across two mountain peaks. Hit the slopes at Waterville Valley Resort, where skiers and snowboarders can carve through well-groomed trails, weave through glades, or jib and jive through terrain parks! Lessons and rentals are available for all levels. Plus, the Ski Resort is home to a full-service childcare facility, so parents can drop the little ones off for some well-deserved alone time. 

 

Snow Tubing 

Whether you're in search of post-ski merriment or family-friendly excitement, the Waterville Valley Tubing Center caters to all your needs! Situated at the Waterville Valley Golf Course with enchanting views of Mount Tecumseh, this charming, old-school tubing hill is where lifelong memories are made. Unlike other tubing areas, you get unlimited tubing time, so you can snowtube to your heart's delight! No limitations on the fun! Share in the delight, merriment, and thrills as you glide down the slopes in a family-sized tube. Single-person tubes offer optimal speed, perfect for those younger adrenaline junkies. The Tubing Center features an on-site Clubhouse where you can bring the whole family to warm up, indulge in hot cocoa, or savor a treat from their pub-style menu. Tubing fun awaits you! 

 

Cross-Country Skiing

Embrace the tranquility of Waterville's snow-capped mountains and enchanting winter forest with cross-country skiing! Home to 70+ km of groomed trails, Waterville Valley is the cross-country ski hub of the Northeast. The Waterville Valley Nordic Center offers equipment rentals, retail, and lessons.

 

Ice Skating

Experience this classic winter activity at the Waterville Valley Ice Arena. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a novice, this family-friendly activity is a perfect way to enjoy the winter chill. Check their website for public skate schedule.

 

Waterville Valley Recreation Department:

The Waterville Valley Recreation Department hosts a variety of activities for families of all ages. Enjoy indoor rock climbing on a 30 ft rock wall, or try out their no-rope bouldering traverse! Kids adore building their own stuffed animals at their Bear Factory, which offers a similar experience to Build-A-Bear. Open Gym features basketball, mats, hula hoops, and more! They also host laser tag, pickleball, and kids' night out! Fat Biking

Embark on an adventure through the scenic White Mountains on a fat bike! Featuring wide tires and excellent traction, fat bikes offer the versatility to navigate snow, ice, sand, and various mixed-condition trails. Please keep in mind that fat biking is restricted to specific Nordic trails, so ensure you verify your route before setting out on your journey. LEGENDS ADVENTURE ARCADE

Legends Adventure Arcade holds a special place in the hearts of local children. This family-friendly arcade, situated on the lower level of Town Square, offers a range of exciting games such as Motocross, Basketball, Air Hockey, Space Invaders Frenzy, and more. With diverse options, Legends Adventure ensures the joy and entertainment of kids of all ages. Keep in mind that the arcade's operating hours may vary.

 

WHITE MOUNTAIN ATHLETIC CLUB

The White Mountain Athletic Club (WMAC) isn't your typical gym; it's a comprehensive wellness haven. Boasting features like an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, cardio and weight rooms, an indoor track, an indoor tennis court, steam and sauna rooms, and a game room, the WMAC offers a diverse range of amenities. If you're staying at one of Waterville Valley's participating lodges, you enjoy unlimited access to the WMAC through the Freedom Pass! Operating from 8 am to 8 pm daily, the WMAC provides a haven for both fun and relaxation for kids and parents alike.

 

LEGENDS ESCAPE ROOM

Put your cognitive and teamwork abilities to the test with an Escape Room adventure! Found on the second floor of Town Square, Legends Escape Room promises loads of fun for family and friends of all ages. With four distinct rooms to challenge your skills, try your hand at cracking the code in each one!
