Thanksgiving Weekend Festivities
The holidays have arrived in Waterville Valley! This Thanksgiving weekend marks the start of a magical season filled with festive cheer, community spirit, and mountain-town charm. From the Adaptive Sports Cold Turkey Plunge to Santa’s Town Square visit and the annual Tree Lighting & Fireworks Show, Waterville Valley’s Town Square is the perfect place to kick off your holiday celebrations.
Alpine advent KICKS OFF thE seasoN!
Kicking off their first holiday season in Town Square, the Alpine Advent holiday market will bring European-inspired Christmas markets to the Valley! From November 28 through December 31, visitors can stroll among twinkling lights and 12 rustic wooden chalets filled with the sights, scents, and sounds of the season! From handcrafted ornaments that tell New England stories to alpine-inspired cuisine that warms you from the inside out, every purchase supports local artisan vendors who pour their hearts into their craft.

12pm: Support a great cause and head to Town Square for the 13th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge—benefiting Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports. Your efforts will be rewarded with an official Plunge Shirt, and other incentives and goodies! Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised (team & individual) and the best costumes.
Register or donate online, or sign up in Town Square starting at 11:30 AM.
3:30pm: After the plunge, gather ‘round as Santa makes his grand entrance, spreading holiday cheer and handing out gifts and candy to every child who visits. Parents are welcome to snap photos and capture those magical moments.
7pm: A Tree Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks Show, starting at 7pm sharp will follow Santa’s visit! Enjoy the winter ambiance of, explore our charming winter village, and watch the night sky come to life with a firework celebrating the start of the holiday season!
