With the Freedom Pass, guests receive two hours of complimentary bike rental each day at the Adventure Center! The trails are conveniently accessible throughout the town and connect to hiking paths, nordic ski trails, and main roads.
Waterville Valley also has countless miles of hiking and nature walking trails, with varying levels of difficulty. You can access Town Square from quick and easy nature walks, or take on a more challenging hike like Welch & Dickey, with impeccable White Mountain views across the board. Swim Spots
Waterville Valley is home to several unique swimming spots, perfect for the hot summer days. With easily accessible spots as well as many hidden gems, check out all that Waterville Valley has to offer.
Smart’s Brook: The trail begins at the southwestern end of the Smarts Brook parking lot, on your left as you head out of Waterville Valley on Route 49, just after Upper Mad River Road crosses the river on your right. This is a very easy out and back hike that leads to a popular swimming hole just over a mile from Route 49.
The Cascades: Hike from the Snow’s Mountain parking lot or get a head start from Snow’s Mountain Chairlift! From the top of the chairlift, walk 0.8 miles along Upper Snow's X-C Trail. As you approach the first bridge, look for the sign marking the Cascades Path on your right.
Corcoran Pond: Right in the heart of Waterville Valley, Corcoran Pond is a convenient family-friendly swimming spot. With a sandy beach and calm waters, it’s ideal for kids. Swim out to the floating dock and have a cannon-ball contest, or simply lounge on the beach!

Weekly Events
Throughout the summer months, as well as the rest of the year, Waterville Valley has plenty of events for all ages to enjoy. One of the summer highlights is the Summer Unplugged Series, which brings families together every weekend with a variety of fun-filled activities. In addition to Summer Unplugged, the Waterville Valley Rec. Department is always stacked with summer activities and events each week.
