Elephant Rock Trail

This short trail is the fastest, easiest way to hike up to the summit of Snow’s Mountain, offering stunning views of Mount Tecumseh and Mount Osceola. Plus, you can hike down while playing Snow’s Mountain 18-Hole Disc Golf Course!

Distance: 1 mile (1 way)

Time: 40-60 minutes

Elevation: 800 feet

Start your hike at the Snow’s Mountain Parking Lot. Park in the north end of the lot, furthest away from the chairlift. Follow the signs for Cascades Path. In less than half a mile, Elephant Rock Trail diverges right and climbs gradually past a large boulder on the left (Elephant Rock). From here, you will pass a mature hardwood forest, coming out near the summit of Snow’s Mountain Chairlift. You can hike back down by either following the same trail, or playing a round of disc golf on Snow’s Mountain 18-Hole Disc Golf Course, which follows Snow’s Mountain’s ski trails back down to the parking lot.
