The Memorial Day Weekend at Waterville Valley is the start of summer. There are fun activities for all ages from fishing to face painting and live music.
The fun begins at 8am on Saturday morning with the 9th Annual Casting for Kirby Youth Fishing Derby. The competition is divided, kids ages 7 and under and children from 8 to 15. The goal is try to catch Corcoran Pond’s elusive Kirby and win a prize. It is a $6 registration fee by Friday, May 25 or $10 onsite. This event is known for its big prizes and fun atmosphere located at Waterville Valley Town Square. Register at www.watervillevalley.org/recreation
But that’s not the only thing happening on that day. Family friendly entertainment is also provided, including a presentationby NH Balloon Man,face painting, boat rentals (extra fee), story hour by the Rey Center and a visit with Bruce the Moose and Curious George.
