The New Hampshire Music Festival is a summer festival that brings the tradition of classical music to the White Mountain National Forest. The New Hampshire Music Festival offers world-class performances of symphonic, choral and chamber music. We look forward to hosting more of these wonderful performances right here in Waterville Valley Resort.
For two decades, the Festival has been in residence at Plymouth State University at the Silver Center for the Arts.
The New Hampshire Music Festival began as a small chamber orchestra on an island in Lake Winnipesaukee in 1952.
Every summer during July and August, musicians from around the country come to the Plymouth area to perform classics and contemporary works. Full orchestral classical music concerts are held on Thursdays in the Hanaway Theater at the Silver Center. This year there will be four concerts repeated on Saturdays in Wolfboro. Chamber music concerts with members of the Festival orchestra are held in the intimate Smith Recital Hall at Plymouth State on Tuesdays.
