Want to start writing or get back into it? Looking for a great way to connect with other writers in the area? Check out the Rey Center’s new Women’s Writing Workshop. In this six-week workshop, you’ll get to know other local writers and practice the craft. Every week, you’ll write to a prompt, share feedback and ideas, receive writing resources and advice, and have the opportunity to offer critical feedback in a casual, relaxed, and supportive setting. End goal? Nurture your love of writing and ignite your creative spark!
Starting with the second meeting, we will offer five, first-come, first-served critical feedback sessions for those looking for a more intense workshop experience. You will receive more information on this component after you register. November 6th- December 11th

Alyssa Walker is a freelance writer. She's taught high school English, run shoestring non-profits, led wilderness expeditions, directed writing groups, and currently helps to support herself and her family by writing scads of web content. Her passion? Writing about anything that piques her curiosity, including parenting, technology, the environment, and politics. Alyssa also loves spending time with her family, reading amazing books, tromping about outside, and drinking coffee. She’s currently at work on a big project that she hesitates to call a memoir. Check out her clips on her website.
