Waterville Valley Sends off Summer this Labor Day with a Bash

Head to Waterville Valley and help send off summer in style during the ‘Just Ducky’ End of Summer Bash. This annual event is a one-day celebration over Labor Day Weekend, September 3.

Labor Day in Waterville is a full day of family fun and entertainment that includes face painting, a meet and greet with the Valley Snow Dogz, a scavenger hunt and live entertainment. Everyone is invited to participate in the annual ‘Just Ducky’ rubber duck race on Corcoran Pond at 5p.m., to benefit the Pemi Bridge House and includes prizes for the three fastest ducks.

Music is set to fill Town Square. From 11am to 2pm Flashback Duo is performing and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. it’s time to listen to D-Comp trio. The day culminates with fireworks over Corcoran Pond at 8:30 p.m. Visit the Waterville Valley event page for a full schedule.

Ducks are available for purchase at Town Square Condos check-in office, Bookmonger/Toad Hall Toys, Waterville Mercantile and Dreams and Visions. They are $3/duck or four for $10. Participants do not need to be present to win but are encouraged to cheer on the ducks during the race.

On Monday, September 4, there will be a live animal show with the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and the program features animals with bad reputations from 10-11 a.m. in the Town Square.
