The White Mountain Athletic Club has a new outdoor aquatic center open for summer.
The new project offers a 1,600 square foot “splash pad” with a wide variety of water soaking features on it as well as a 62,000-gallon pool with 25-meter lap lanes, family play areas, underwater benches, deck jets, underwater color lighting, a “pool temperature” whirlpool spa overlooking the White Mountains, and built in basketball and pool volleyball amenities.
“With the success of our recently completed family friendly indoor aquatic center, it was time to focus on our outdoor pool experience,” stated Tom Gross, Jr. President of the White Mountain Athletic Club. Gross continued, “our summer season is extremely important and busy with many families enjoying Waterville Valley and the Club, so we felt the time was right to provide a similar outdoor family experience, and our new design accomplishes that.”
Rene Schwartz, General Manager of the White Mountain Athletic Club added, ”The splash pad and outdoor pool continues our long tradition of investing and improving our infrastructure to meet the needs of our members and guests. In particular with the splash pad, we now we have a solid offering for families with younger children”
Schwartz went on to say, “ and we open up the outside front of our facility with its’ spectacular views for sunbathing and other fun. There are more options for everyone.”
The award-winning Coyote Grill located on the upper level of the White Mountain Athletic Club is operating the Coyote Cabaña serving a variety of poolside food and beverages, along with hosting numerous events on the poolside pavilion.
