Waterville Valley is a place to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with the family. And there is plenty of time to do all of that as well as take advantage of all the activities we have to offer. Below is a sampling of the many things to do each day, many are free with the Waterville Valley Freedom Pass.
ResortBoard Adventure Tours: (Summer)
A brand new way to experience Waterville Valley and the White Mountains, ResortBoard Adventure Tours will take you off the beaten path, literally! ResortBoards are highly versatile transportation vehicles that are just plain fun to operate, allowing you to surf the earth on all types of terrain. Meander past babbling brooks, tear it up off road, and even discover an ancient ruin! Our Adventure Center staff will show you the ropes in our practice area and these fully-guided tours are designed around you! Get to know Waterville Valley during a low-key cruise, or crank your speed to high and kick up some dirt on the back roads and trails. Either way, it is a one-of-a-kind adventure!

Tours operate rain or shine, however tour times are subject to change without notice. Please arrive early as tours leave promptly. This activity is not included as part of the Freedom Pass.
Rent a bike at the Adventure Center and cruise around the Valley, or cut through the woods and explore a variety of trails for all abilities through the National Forest. Everything from meandering dirt roads to gnarly single-track is available.
Chair Lift Rides (Summer)
Located on Boulder Path Road (past the Tennis Courts), Snow's Mountain Chairlift offers something for everyone. Take a relaxing, scenic round trip ride, or the more adventurous can take the chairlift up to the top with a bike and head down a variety of trails for all abilities through the National Forest. Everything from meandering dirt roads to gnarly single-track is available. Open during the fall season Weekends and holidays 10am - 3:45pm.
The Vertical Zone: Climbing Tower & Bungee Trampoline (Summer)
Adventures in Town Square are climbing to all new heights! Joining our fleet of new summer activities is a brand new Vertical Zone equipped with an Outdoor Climbing Tower and a Bungee Trampoline.

Craving new discoveries? Start your valley exploration at the Adventure Center! Conveniently located in Town Square, the Adventure Center is the base camp for many of Waterville’s most thrilling activities, including cross country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing in the winter and mountain biking, hiking, and skateboarding in the summer! Need to grab a few last minutes items before you head out on the trail? Pick them up here and make sure you are properly equipped for the road ahead. Very professional staff of the Adventure Center will always be happy to help you with setting equipment, getting around, and making sure you are enjoying your time.
In the Valley, you're never far from water. From the variety of pools at our lodging properties, to the indoor and outdoor pools at the White Mountain Athletic Club. There's Corcoran's Pond, just a few steps from Town Square and a short walk from your lodging property. You can dive in, or just sit on the sandy beach and watch the kids play. And if you're feeling more adventurous, take a dip in one of the many natural swimming holes just a short drive away!

Join us this summer with our new outdoor aquatic center which encompasses The Splash Pad - a 1,600 square foot water soaking fun filled pad filled with splash toys for kids of all ages! The perfect way to entertain the kids while Mom and Dad sit by the new 62,000 gallon outdoor pool complete with lap lanes, lounge areas and a unique outdoor pool temperature spa overlooking the majestic 4,000 foot mountains. The Town Recreation Department offers a full slate of daily activities for all ages, including day camps, rock climbing, art programs, ice cream socials and family bingo. Supervised programs are always age appropriate with great staff-to-children ratios. Programs and activities for those with disabilities are also available.

The Waterville Valley Tennis Center is listed as a Gold Medal Resort in the annual tennisresortsonline.com, rankings earning a Top 25 in the World distinction. Waterville Valley offers 18 clay courts that are swept morning and noon every day and kept in top condition. USPTA Director/Owner Tom Gross, Jr offers group and private lessons, and assistant pros instruct the junior clinics offered every morning. Casual daily round robins and our fun Wednesday night socials on our deck overlooking the surrounding mountains compliment your stay. Game matching available, full pro shop, attire and services available. Available to Freedom Pass holders.
A family-friendly, scenic 9-hole course. Par 31 layout with three par 4 holes provides a challenging golf experience for players of all abilities.
The Town Recreation Department offers an exciting indoor climbing wall. Come test your skills and nerve on multiple routes up to the top.
The Indoor Ice Arena is located at the center of activity in Waterville Valley in the Town Square complex on the shores of Corcoran Pond. The Ice Arena operates a daily schedule of ice events throughout the year from late June through mid-April. Daily public skating has long been a mainstay of the Ice Arena's operations. Popular "hockey hour" (stick-and-puck) and figure skating "freestyle" sessions frequent the calendar.
Hiking in and around Waterville Valley is like few things you've ever experienced. There are seven 4,000-foot peaks that form a near-perfect bowl around the valley. Within that bowl you'll find over 100 miles of well-marked trails for every level of stamina and sense of exploration.
Hop on board the FREE open air trolley for transportation to your favorite valley activity or to just enjoy a leisurely tour of Waterville Valley. Shuttle stops are located throughout the valley.
Skate Park (Summer)
Located in the parking lot of Town Square, the Super Park features a skateboard and inline skate park with a large horseshoe bowl, street course including a hubba and mini ramp. The park also contains pyramids, banked ramps, handrails and quarter pipes. The other component of the Super Park is the outdoor dirt BMX track with jumps, banked turns, dips and more. Skateboard and helmet rentals available.
Rent a pedal boat, canoe or kayak in Town Square and explore Corcoran's Pond. Pedal boats can fit up to two adults and three children. Paddleboards available, too!

Disc Golf (Summer)
The original Snow's Mountain ski trails of Waterville Valley have been transformed into a 9-hole disc golf course that begins with a chairlift ride to the summit. Then play your way down the mountain while taking in views of the town below and surrounding peaks!

Tubing in the Valley is better than ever! On the hill adjacent to the Waterville Valley Golf Course are multiple dedicated tubing lanes, complete with a warming center. Guests of all ages can participate, but children must be at least 42 inches tall to tube alone. The tubing hill is walk-up (not lift serviced). Dress appropriately, warm clothing, including gloves and winter footwear are advised. For everyone’s safety, ski and other hard shell boots are not permitted. Have fun!

The Adventure Center has several trails designated for daily fat bike use, see trail report for open trails. Additional terrain open for fat biking on Sundays and Thursdays as conditions allow.
Go where you can't with your mountain bike. What started as a way for cyclists to ride through the winter, now is a fun, year-round activity on terrain that was once un-rideable (snow, sand, and mixed-condition trails).
The wide, or FAT, tires and low tire pressure (4 inch minimum with a PSI of less than 15) roll like a snowshoe over snow and sand. The low tire pressure gives great traction in the snow and over rocks and roots.
