After the skimming is over head to Buckets for awards. 10 – 12 Easter Basket Decorating: at the Rec. Department. $5/person. Bring your Easter Basket or purchase one from us to decorate. We supply all that you need to get your basket ready for Easter with ribbon, Easter grass, pompoms, feathers, silk flowers and more. Pull up a bean-bag chair to hear your favorite Rey stories read out loud. Selections will include stories from the Curious series as well as other Rey favorites such as Pretzel, Elizabite, Cicely G and more. Following story time we will make seasonal crafts that children can take home. 1 – 3 pm Egg Coloring & Decorating at the Rec. Department. $5/person. Join in on this Easter tradition! We will supply each participant with 6 EGGS and all of the supplies needed to create Easter Egg masterpieces!!! You may bring your own eggs if you would like to decorate more then six eggs. The Challenge is to create a structure no larger then a standard shoe box to withstand a drop from the Clock Tower in Town Square. After the “drop” participants will have to dismantle their device to see if their egg survived. If the egg does survive the fall, participants must crack open the egg proving it was a RAW egg!! 6:30-7:30 p.m. “NH Wildlife – Signs of Spring” at the Margret and H.A. Rey Center. Join a naturalist and live native New Hampshire wildlife from the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center to learn about how wild animals respond to the seasonal changes of spring. All ages welcome.
